Why Should We Trust You?

Politics has been mired in scandal and controversy for decades. It’s almost as if the adage that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is true.

It is time (in our opinion) for reform of our Government. We shouldn’t face scandal after scandal. Our MP’s should be beyond reproach, not beyond the pale!

Your MP should be a public servant, representling your interests in Parliament. This very often is not the case.

We were told at the start of Covid that we were “all in this together”. It turns out that while we, the public were in it together, our Government considered themselves above all of the rules and laws that they imposed upon us. The first rule of government is that you need to adhere to the laws and rules you impose.

I don’t know about you, but I expect to be disappointed by the behaviour of MP’s. When you realise that No. 10 spent much of the first year of Covid drunk, 2020 makes much more sense!

It is our intention to restore integrity to Parliament. Our Government shouldn’t be surrounded by doubt, police investigations, enquiries and scandal.

I am standing as a candidate not as a career choice to further my own ambitions, but because we need to stand up and be counted. We need to reform our institutions before they are too far gone to be reformable. I am standing as a candidate to contribute to the Country that I love. To make it a better place. To take away the anxiety, the fear, the uncertainty.

In these interesting times it’s never been more important to stay connected with each other.

I needed someone to stand to represent me. It turns out I represent me and from the positive response I have received so far I think I represent many of you too.

We need a fresh direction. The parties that have caused our problems over the last couple of decades are not the parties to solve those problems. It’s time for change, it’s time for Reform UK.
